Weight Management

A doctor-supervised programme — not a quick-fix.

The goal — but it has to be reached the right way, with a doctor.

GLP-1 medications (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) have transformed weight management globally — but they are prescription-only and not suitable for everyone. VIRO is the platform; an NMC-registered doctor screens eligibility and decides treatment; a licensed pharmacy dispenses.

Who is and isn't eligible

GLP-1 treatment is not appropriate for everyone. Absolute contraindications include personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) or MEN2 (for Tirzepatide), Type 1 diabetes, pregnancy, and certain pancreatic conditions. The doctor screens for these in the assessment. If you are not eligible, the doctor will tell you and may refer you for in-person care.

What the programme actually involves

A typical GLP-1 programme involves gradual dose titration over 12 weeks, careful monitoring of GI side effects (nausea, particularly in the first few weeks), and regular doctor check-ins. The doctor may pause or adjust the dose based on how you tolerate it.

Honest expectation setting

Clinical evidence supports meaningful weight reduction with GLP-1 treatment in eligible patients, but individual results vary substantially. Maintaining results after treatment ends requires sustained lifestyle adjustment. The doctor will discuss this with you on Day 1.

What we don't say

We do not say “lose X kg in Y days,” “guaranteed weight loss,” or “100% safe.” We do not use exaggerated before/after content. GLP-1 medication advertising is held to the strictest compliance standard in our content policy.
