About VIRO
Is VIRO a clinic?
No. VIRO is an intermediary platform connecting you with an independent NMC-registered Registered Medical Practitioner and a licensed pharmacy partner. VIRO does not diagnose, prescribe, or dispense.
Who reviews my assessment?
An independent NMC-registered Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP). They — not VIRO — decide if treatment is clinically appropriate.
Who dispenses my medicine?
A licensed pharmacy partner. VIRO does not stock medicine or hold inventory.
Cost & payments
What does the assessment cost?
Free. Doctor review and prescription are also free. You only pay for medicine if a doctor finds treatment clinically appropriate.
Is it a subscription?
Your first order is a one-time Entry Offer — no subscription. A monthly Care Plan is offered only after your first delivery and can be cancelled anytime.
When do I pay?
Payment is collected only after a doctor approves treatment. If the doctor doesn't prescribe, you don't pay.
Privacy & data
Is my data safe?
VIRO is built to be compliant with the DPDP Act 2023. Data is shared only with the prescribing doctor and the licensed pharmacy required for your order — never sold.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can submit an erasure or consent-withdrawal request anytime via your account. Regulated medical records are retained per Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020 statutory retention; everything else is erased on request.
How do WhatsApp messages from VIRO look?
Neutral. We never mention diagnosis or medicine name in the message preview. Confidentiality is the default.
Treatment
What if the doctor doesn't prescribe?
The doctor may request more information, ask for a video consultation, or refer you for in-person care. If treatment isn't appropriate, you'll be told. You pay nothing.
How long until I get my medicine?
Bangalore — usually within 48 hours. Major Indian metros — 2–3 working days. Tier-2 cities — 3–5 working days.
What does the packaging look like?
Plain outer packaging with no category indicators. Customer name and address only. Required legal and invoice details are included inside the package.
Can I cancel my Care Plan?
Yes, anytime. There is no minimum tenure.
Safety
What if I have side effects?
Tell us — through the app, WhatsApp, or by emailing hello@virohealth.in. Serious side effects are escalated to your doctor and to VIRO's Adverse Event protocol.
Is VIRO for emergencies?
No. VIRO is not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, please seek in-person medical care immediately.
